Dramatically Different From the Picture
The Athena comforter looks so pretty in the photo, that I thought I'd take a chance on it. The color that it turned out to be however, did not work in my bedroom. To be fair, the comforter was described as a combination of blue and green. It is also described as a "seamist" color, which it really isn't. I would describe it as the palest mint green - I mean reallllly pale. The accent colors are a very light taupe, and a neon citrus green. They kind of work, but would work better if the comforter was less minty and more seamisty.
I think this comforter set would be excellent in a teens room with it's botanical silhouette and icy color combo. That's why I gave it 3 stars. For this 48 yr old though, not so much and it was returned today.

Lovely comforter set
When others said they were disappointed that the color wasn't blue, I decided this was just what I was looking for - a light aqua. I found that in bright light the color is a pale gray green but in dimmer light, which my bedroom has, the color is indeed a light aqua so I am very satisfied with the color. The comforter's fabric is very soft. The only negatives were a small opening in one of the pillows seams that I easily repaired myself and I don't particularly like the lime pillow's color with the aqua but neither was a big deal for me.
Rich fabric, Aqua color
I am a degreed Interior Designer and have purchased this set as the fourth set of bedding in two years for our home - since I couldn't find anything that I liked and kept trying different bedding. This is a rich-looking fabric - it is exactly a light aqua in color. It's not turquoise, it's not robin's egg blue or light sky blue. I personally wouldn't call it a light green,but I can see how it could be described as such. The lighting in your room can make a difference and the other colors in the room might affect how this looks. I am pleased with this set and will probably keep this one on our king sized bed.
The only problem I had is the photo shows the design on the left side of the quilt, which is what I wanted - nearest our door/entry....but the king size spread that arrived has the "tree" design" only down the right side of the spread. So when you enter our bedroom, you fist see the solid color portion of the bedspread. I wish that it were as shown in the photo, with...
